Expert Answers about GMC Gooseneck Trailer Locks

  • Recommended Gooseneck Trailer Coupler Base Lock
  • For your gooseneck trailer, I recommend the Gen-Y Auto Latch Gooseneck Coupler Lock # 325-GH-7111. This unit will be a fit for most gooseneck couplers due to its universal design. It will help the majority of couplers to protect your trailer by detering theft. This lock will cover the base of your gooseneck so that it cannot be connected to. I've attached a video to assist. I've also linked the page to the options we carry for gooseneck trailer base locks.

  • Trailer Lock Recommendation for Gooseneck Trailer with Atwood Coupler
  • Since the Atwood AMPlock gooseneck coupler locks are no longer around your best option for a coupler lock will be a wheel lock to lock the trailer like the etrailer.com wheel lock part # 288-02020. This locks the trailer just as effectively as a coupler lock but is universal enough to fit basically any trailer out there or vehicle. It's the best solution for gooseneck trailers like yours where there isn't a coupler lock that fits the coupler.

  • Recommended Gooseneck Coupler Lock for Puma Trailer
  • We have a few different options depending on the gooseneck coupler you have on your Puma trailer. If you have a Bulldog, Stallion, Superior, or T.E.M. coupler then I recommend the Blaylock EZ Lock Gooseneck Coupler Lock # BLTL-50-40D. If you have a RAM coupler then you would need the # BLTL-55-40D instead. Both of these have an option to come with the Blaylock EZ Lock for Set Screw on Gooseneck Coupler - Aluminum # BLTL-51-40D. You would need the # BLTL-53-40D2 or # BLTL-57-40D2. The...

  • Recommended Gooseneck Coupler Locks For 2012 Sundowner Rancher Trailer
  • Many of the gooseneck locks we offer are designed to fit specific hitches and styles. If the gooseneck you have on your 2012 Sundowner 20 ft Rancher is a Bulldog, Stallion, Superior, or T.E.M. coupler, then I recommend part # BLTL-50-40D. This includes a stainless steel padlock. If your gooseneck is made by RAM, I recommend the Blaylock EZ Lock Gooseneck Coupler Lock, part # BLTL-55-40D. We do offer combo locks that secure both the coupler and the inner tube like part # BLTL-57-40D2...

  • What is the Best Way to Fully Secure My Gooseneck Trailer Coupler and Prevent Anyone Hooking it up
  • I have a solution but I do not have a locking pin that is long enough. Instead the preferred method for locking your coupler to the trailer as well as preventing anyone hooking up to it without permission is the Blaylock EZ Lock Gooseneck Coupler Lock Combo part # BLTL-57-40D2. Check out the video showing how it works to prevent tampering.

  • Trailer Lock Recommendation for a Trailer with a Bulldog Gooseneck Coupler
  • I have a great theft-deterrent for your trailer that has the Bulldog Gooseneck Coupler part # BD0289340317 installed on it, but the Blaylock coupler lock part # BLTL-50-40D that you referenced would not be it. Instead you would need to go with a wheel lock like the part # RA-25 that works regardless of the coupler style of the trailer.

  • Lock Recommendation for Gooseneck Trailer with Popup RV1 Coupler
  • Not to further confuse you, but we actually have a total of 8 Blaylock gooseneck coupler locks. They are all designed to fit different styles of gooseneck couplers. I have a solution for you, but the RV1 Popup coupler you have is not one that any of them are designed to fit. Your best option would be a wheel lock like the Rack em Lock part # RA-25 as it will immobilize your trailer just like a coupler lock except doesn't matter what style of coupler you have.

  • Recommended Coupler Lock for Big Tex Gooseneck Trailer
  • I was not able to locate specific manufacturer information regarding the couplers that are used on Big Tex Gooseneck Trailers like what you have. With that being said, they do look very similar to the Ram Gooseneck Coupler # GCSQTW-30008 that you mentioned, with its square tube design and crank. If you find that this is what you have, I recommend the Blaylock EZ Lock Gooseneck Coupler Lock # BLTL-55-40D. This coupler lock is designed specifically for Ram gooseneck couplers and features...

  • Recommended Curt Gooseneck and 5th Wheel Hitch for 2017 GMC 2500 HD Denali
  • For your 2017 GMC 2500 Denali, I recommend the Curt EZr Double Lock Underbed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch with Installation Kit - 30,000 lbs # C611-624 is a confirmed fit as is the Curt Double Lock, Flip and Store Underbed Gooseneck Hitch w/ Installation Kit - 30,000 lbs # C607-604. The only major difference between these two is the tongue weight rating of the Double Lock is 7500 lbs compared to the 6,000 lbs of The EZr Double Lock. The other difference is in the safety chain loop locations...

  • Recommended Gooseneck Trailer Hitch for a 1997 Ford F-250
  • The gooseneck trailer hitch I recommend for your 1997 Ford F-250 is the Curt Double Lock, Flip and Store Underbed Gooseneck Hitch part # C60723. This gooseneck hitch is a custom fit so no drilling into the frame is required and it has a unique storage feature that lets you flip the hitch ball upside down in the receiver tube. The hitch also as the name states has dual locking pins for added security. If you ever need to tow a 5th wheel trailer there are adapters for this like the Curt...

  • Can a 5th Wheel Hitch Be Installed On a Truck with Curt Double Lock Gooseneck Trailer Hitch
  • In order to tow a 5th wheel trailer using the Curt Double Lock Gooseneck Trailer Hitch you'll need an adapter, the Curt X5 5th Wheel Base Rails Adapter part # C16210. This can be used with pretty much any fifth wheel hitch such as the Curt A20 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch part # C16140 which is what I recommend using. The Hi-Rise Gooseneck-to-5th-Wheel Trailer Hitch Adapter part # 9480 or one like it won't work.

  • Solution for Towing 5th Wheel Trailer with Curt Double Lock Gooseneck Hitch
  • I do have a solution for a more secure setup to tow a fifth-wheel trailer, however the B&W Companion # BWRVK3500 that you referenced is not compatible with your Curt Double Lock Gooseneck Hitch. The Companion is designed specifically for the square ball hole that the B&W Turnoverball Gooseneck Hitches provide and cannot be adapted to fit your Curt system. I instead recommend using the Curt X5 Base Rails Adapter # C16210. This is designed to fit your Curt Double Lock Gooseneck Hitch and...

  • Locking Mechanism For Ultra-Fab Gooseneck Trailer Tripod Stabilizer
  • There is not a spot included on the Ultra-Fab Gooseneck Trailer Tripod Stabilizer # UF19-950450 to lock it. However there is a way to secure your tripod to the trailer. One way to reduce theft, or at least make it very difficult for someone to tamper with it, would be to put a pad lock on the safety chains of your trailer, and connect it to somewhere on the tripod. There will be some slack, but it will prevent anyone from actually taking the stabilizer. I attached a link to our selection...

  • Is There a 5th Wheel Hitch Adapter for a 2002 Ford F-250 That has a Gooseneck?
  • As the Reese Elite Series Underbed Rail Adapter for Standard 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches - 20,000 lbs # RP30156 is designed to fit into a 2011 to current F-250, it will not be correct for your 2002. With that being said, the 2002 model year of F-250 did not include a factory installed prep-package, so there will not be an adaptor like this available. However, this does not mean there isn't an adaptor available for you, but I will need a little more info to make sure it will work with your...
